Louisville football’s 2018 season opener against Alabama on Saturday, Sept. 1 has been scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, the ACC announced on Wednesday.

The non-conference match-up will air nationally on ABC.

The Cards’ and Crimson Tide’s battle will be the 2018 Camping World Kickoff Game, and will take place in Orlando, Fla.

It will be the first time in UofL football history that the Cards will open the season against the defending national champions.

September’s match-up will be the fourth-ever meeting between the two programs. Alabama holds a 2-1 series lead.
