UofL FOOTBALL | Cards Move Up One Spot in This Week's CFB Playoff Rankings

11/08/2016 07:40 PM

The Louisville football team moved up one spot in this week’s College Football Playoff Rankings.

The Cardinals were #6 in the rankings when the rankings were revealed Tuesday evening. Last week, UofL was #7.

The Cards are coming off a big 52-7 win over Boston College on Saturday, improving their record to 8-1 overall on the season.

The main reason why Louisville jumped up was because of then-#4 Texas A&M’s 35-28 loss to Mississippi St. this past Saturday. In this week’s rankings, the Aggies are #8.

The Cardinals were not the only ones to benefit from Texas A&M’s loss. Washington, Ohio St. and Wisconsin each moved up a spot in the Top 10 as well, jumping past Texas A&M.

Here is a look at this week’s Top 10 in the CFB Playoff Rankings:

1. Alabama 9-0
2. Clemson 9-0
3. Michigan 9-0
4. Washington 9-0
5. Ohio St. 8-1
6. Louisville 8-1
7. Wisconsin 7-2
8. Texas A&M 7-2
9. Auburn 7-2
10. Penn St. 7-2

Next week’s rankings will be revealed on Tuesday, November 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
