04/01/2017 01:46 PM

The Louisville football team held its first scrimmage of spring practice on Saturday morning inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

UofL ran almost 200 plays during the scrimmage.

“I thought it went well,” said head coach Bobby Petrino. “I was happy with the defense at times. I was happy with the offense at times. I think it was a good competition, and that’s what you want.”

The Cards are back at it again on Tuesday when they host their final open practice of the spring. It will start at roughly 3:50 p.m. ET.
