The Louisville football team hit the field on Monday for the first time this camp.

In the morning, the Cards held a walk through. In the afternoon, they practiced in front of a group of UofL fans.

“It was great to get out there,” said head coach Bobby Petrino. “It actually was a really good day.”

The Cards’ season opener is against the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday, September 2. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET inside Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium.
