UofL FOOTBALL | Cards Hold Annual Kickoff Luncheon

08/15/2017 07:36 PM

The Louisville football program held its annual Kickoff Luncheon on Tuesday afternoon inside the Louisville Marriott Grand Ballroom.

It was a chance for hundreds of UofL fans to hear from head coach Bobby Petrino and a handful of players.

One of the players who spoke to the crowd was cornerback Jaire Alexander, who hopes the fans that make the trip to Indianapolis for the season opener on Sept. 2 against Purdue are extremely loud.

“I’m expecting excitement, motivation,” said Alexander. “I need y’all to be motivated for us.”

There is plenty of excitement surrounding the team this year. Many fans in attendance at Tuesday’s luncheon have high expectations for the 2017 Cards.
