The Louisville football program announced that it closed its 2018 National Signing Day with one of the best recruiting classes in program history.

Back in December, UofL inked 19 players during the early signing period.

On Wednesday, it added two more recruits.

The two new future Cardinals are safety Marlon Character and running back Javian Hawkins.

Character comes to the Cards from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was one of the nation’s top JUCO safeties last year, finishing with 28 tackles and one interception. He also broke up seven passes. Character hails from Atlanta, Ga.

Meanwhile, Hawkins comes to Louisville from Titusville, Fla. Hawkins played at Cocoa High School and finished his career with over 4,000 rushing yards and 40 or more touchdowns.
