UofL FOOTBALL | Bobby Petrino Provides "Pre-Summer" Update

Louisville football team wrapped up its spring practice with the program’s spring game on April 13.

Now, the coaches and players are getting prepared for the fall.

The Cards open up the 2018 regular season in Orlando, Fla. on Sept. 1, when they take on defending national champion Alabama at 8 p.m. ET.

UofL head coach Bobby Petrino spoke with the media on Tuesday afternoon.

Besides discussing his team, he also shared his thoughts on a recent report from college football writer Brett McMurphy, which says there may be a record 43 bowl games (including the College Football National Championship) for the 2020 college football season:

Andrew Chernoff

Andrew is a sports anchor and sports managing editor for Spectrum News. He covers sports all across the state of Kentucky for Sports Night, which airs weeknights at 6:30 and 10:30 on Spectrum News. Andrew was a sports anchor and reporter at KFDM/KBTV in Beaumont, Texas for four years before making the move back home to the Midwest. He is originally from Carmel, Indiana and majored in broadcast journalism and political science at Syracuse University.
