UofL FOOTBALL | A closer look at the relationship between a QB and the center

There are two players that touch the ball every snap of a football game, the quarterback and the center. This season, the University of Louisville coaching staff has put a lot of pressure on their senior center, Tobijah Hughley, and his teammates clearly believe in him enough to vote him as one of the team’s five captains.

Last season, Hughley was a fixture on the offensive line as it drew regular criticism for having multiple underclassmen in starting roles. This year carries a lot more confidence in the depth of players suited to block for the U of L backfield, especially in Hughley.

We asked U of L quarterback from 2009-2010 Adam Froman about the chemistry between the QB and his blockers, and his thoughts about the team shaping up this season:

Garrett Moore

Garrett is a Sports Producer for Spectrum News. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State and got his start as a sports photographer.
