11/03/2017 05:24 PM

The Louisville field hockey team is one win away from winning the ACC Championship.

The three-seeded Cards beat the two-seeded Duke Blue Devils on Friday afternoon in a thriller that required a shootout to determine a winner.

UofL and Duke were tied 2-2 after regulation and after two overtime periods.

In the shootout, the Cards outscored the Blue Devils 4-3.

As a result, Louisville advances to the ACC Championship Game, where it will face five-seeded North Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET inside Trager Stadium.
