All is well in Louisville… according to defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Yesterday, he denied a report from Sports Illustrated claiming he and head coach Bobby Petrino were feuding.

Grantham spoke to FootballScoop and told the website he “laughed it off.” He said he was very happy at Louisville and called UofL one of the best camps he’s ever been in.

The Sports Illustrated article, reported by Thayer Evans and Pete Thamel, claimed a contentious relationship between Petrino and Grantham as well as Petrino and some of the players. Below is an excerpt from the article:

“Sources with ties to the Cardinals’ football program and Petrino said there’s significant friction between Petrino and feisty defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. The two have feuded often since Grantham’s hiring in January…

There’s also still lingering dissension among players about Petrino’s arrival. Some were so unhappy with Petrino’s frigid, explicit demeanor that they considered leaving early for the NFL’s supplemental draft in June according to one source.”
