UofL CROSS COUNTRY | Senior runner goes viral after display of sportsmanship

11/01/2016 07:00 PM

Louisville senior cross country runner Rachel Pease went viral this past weekend after footage of her display of sportsmanship hit the Internet on Friday.

Pease was getting close to the finish line on Friday at the ACC Championships when she noticed Clemson runner Evie Tate trying to carry Boston College runner Madeline Adams across the finish line. Adams had apparently fallen down from exhaustion. Pease stopped to help Tate carry Adams across the finish line.

Since then, the ACC’s video has gone viral with thousands of shares across the country.

cn|2 Sports’ Andrew Chernoff caught up with Pease on Tuesday to talk about the display of sportsmanship.
