If a player is going to have an injury, the off-season is the best time to have it. Cardinals Basketball sophomore Anas Mahmoud will miss up to a month and a half, after injuring his knee. Mahmoud twisted it recently while playing basketball.
The 7 foot Center will have surgery Thursday to repair a torn medial meniscus in his left knee. He is expected to recover in time to play with the Cards during their visit to Puerto Rico, August 10th thru the 17th.
Mahmoud played in 29 games for UofL last season, totaling 35 points, 41 rebounds and 20 blocked shots.
