UofL BASKETBALL | What do the Cards get out of a blowout like this

It was never in doubt, 19th ranked Louisville vs Kennesaw State. The Cardinals never trailed. The score at halftime was 41-19. The lead got beyond 40 at one point before settling into a 37 point 94-57 finale.
So what do the Cards get out of a blowout like this? They realize they have to keep focus the entire time, because the games they have coming up will be against tougher competition. It starts with in-state foe Western Kentucky Saturday. You know the Hilltoppers would love to knock off the Cards. It continues with a game against arch rival 4th ranked Kentucky a week from Saturday, and then really kicks into gear when the ACC portion of the schedule starts in January. UofL knows any bad habits now, could become damaging in the days and weeks to come.
Damion Lee was the team’s high scorer with 18. Chinanu Onuaku had 16, Trey Lewis finished with 13 and Donovan Mitchell added 10.
The Cards are now 8-1, and host Western Kentucky (6-4) Saturday at noon. The Hilltoppers defeated Alabama A&M Wednesday night.
