UofL BASKETBALL | Trey Lewis and Damion Lee thank fans and teammates for fantastic season

02/29/2016 08:00 PM

Just two games remain in Cardinal jerseys for Louisville Basketball graduate guards Damion Lee and Trey Lewis. The two fifth-year seniors transferred to Louisville to play under the bright lights of March Madness, under a Hall of Fame coach, but have since had the postseason dream taken away from them.

Since the announcement of a self-imposed postseason ban earlier this month, the Cardinal Basketball team has gone 4-3 and inspired hope of a regular season conference title. The players have been outspoken on finishing the season with purpose. At a press conference earlier today, the two seniors expressed their thanks to the Louisville fan base along with their fellow teammates for the support this season.

The two seniors, along with red-shirt sophomore Dillon Avare, will be recognized at the team’s Tuesday night game against Georgia Tech. Avare is graduating at the end of this season and will transfer to Eastern Kentucky to finish his playing career under Dan McHale.
