UofL BASKETBALL | Spalding Propels Cards to Sixth Straight WIn

12/23/2017 04:20 PM

Louisville forward Ray Spalding made sure he entered the holiday weekend coming off a big performance.

Spalding had a double-double on Saturday against Grand Canyon (9-4), helping the Cards (10-2) beat the Antelopes 74-56.

Spalding finished the game with 21 points and 16 rebounds.

Two other Cardinals scored in double-digits on Saturday, forward Deng Adel (14) and guard Quentin Snider (12).

One of the big reasons statistically for the UofL win was its rebounding, as the Cards outrebounded the Antelopes 41-35, something interim head coach David Padgett hoped to see after the Cards were outrebounded 52-37 by Albany on Wednesday night.

The win was the sixth straight victory for UofL.

Up next for UofL is a trip to Rupp Arena on Friday, where it will face rival No. 7 Kentucky beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
