UofL BASKETBALL | Russ Smith Foundation Getting Ready to Host Numerous Events

04/22/2017 11:48 AM

Former Louisville Cardinal Russ Smith had a successful season with the NBA D-League’s Delaware 87ers, averaging over 17 points per game with the ball club.

But, just because the season is over doesn’t mean that there is any “down time” for Smith.

Smith is staying busy organizing many events for the Russ Smith Foundation in Louisville.

It all starts with the Kentuckiana Pro-Am All-Star Basketball Games on April 26 at the Walden School. The first game that evening tips off at 6:15 ET.

Then on June 19, the Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Russdiculous Golf Scramble.

The following day, the Camp of Champions, featuring Terry Rozier, begins, which lasts through June 22.

Later that week, on June 24, the Russ Smith Foundation will hold a charity game to raise money for the late Louisville Metro Police Officer Nick Rodman. Details on this charity will be released as the game gets closer..

Smith and Tim Barnett, founder of F.O.C.U.S Basketball Academy, stopped by Sports Night on Friday to discuss the events with Andrew Chernoff.
