UofL BASKETBALL | Rick Pitino sees his team making great strides offensively

03/15/2017 05:00 PM

The University of Louisville men’s basketball team is less than 48 hours away from playing in the NCAA Tournament, and as a no. 2 seed, are positioned pretty well to go far.

But as good as Louisville has been, and as many quality wins the team has in the regular season, there are still a handful of examples of the team getting a lead and then collapsing and losing. Most recently it was in the ACC Tournament when Louisville lost to Duke after earning a double digit lead in the second half.

But that tendency is not an issue for Louisville coach Rick Pitino. He says the team has made drastic improvements recently and will be in great shape entering the big dance.

Louisville tips off around 2:30 on Friday against no. 15 seed Jacksonville State.
