UofL BASKETBALL | Recruits take notice of Rick Pitino's shoe-game

07/08/2016 08:37 AM

Rick Pitino and his coaching staff are all over the country right now, evaluating the premier athletes in high school basketball. During these “live periods,” college coaches can watch and evaluate high school recruits, but can not talk with them or interact while in attendance.

So since they are not able to have a conversation, and they typically enter these AAU and high school tournaments through entirely separate doors than the players, is raises the question of how much the recruits actually notice which coaches are watching. We asked Jody Demling from CardinalAuthority.com to talk with us about this recruiting window, and he said the recruits definitely know which coaches are there, and some have even noticed Rick Pitino’s Yeezys.
