UofL BASKETBALL | Pitino knows his team's effort is a constant

01/19/2016 08:45 PM

The Louisville basketball team is getting prepared for a young, tough Florida State team this Wednesday night. FSU rides into Louisville with a two game ACC win streak and feature a trio of high scoring guards, and a bigger big-man than Louisville has come across to date. But U of L has been up to every challenge this season thus far.

Rick Pitino has preached all year the level of talent and grit featured throughout the ACC, and is now preparing for those same qualities in FSU. It will take a total team effort to contain a hot Seminole offense, but the effort part of the equation is not something Pitino is concerned with.

The ‘Noles and Cards tip off at 9:00 this Wednesday.

Pitino had plenty to say at today’s press conference. He covered Mangok Mathiangs timetable for return (a couple weeks into February), sharply dismissed rumors of UNLV, and spoke about the relationships formed with his international players.
