UofL BASKETBALL | One-on-One with David Padgett

11/08/2017 07:02 PM

The Louisville men’s basketball team played its final exhibition of the season on Tuesday night inside the KFC Yum! Center.

The Cards beat Bellarmine 72-57.

It was one final chance for interim head coach David Padgett to watch his team play prior to its first regular season game of the year, which takes place on Sunday at home against George Mason.

It’s been a unique situation up to this point for Padgett. He was named acting head coach in late September amid the fallout of UofL’s link to the ongoing federal investigation into crime and corruption within college basketball.

Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff talked with Padgett on Wednesday morning about what it’s been like to be the man in charge of the UofL men’s basketball program. Chernoff started out by asking Padgett what his biggest surprise has been so far:

Chernoff and Padgett discussed a lot more than just coaching. They talked about the investigation and about the 2017-2018 Cardinal roster.
