The No. 3 Louisville women’s basketball team is getting ready to take part in a “Top Five Showdown” on Thursday night.

The Cards (18-0, 4-0) host No. 2 Notre Dame (15-1, 4-0) at 7 p.m. ET inside the KFC Yum! Center.

UofL’s 18-game winning streak is the longest winning streak in program history.

Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff spoke with Louisville head coach Jeff Walz on Wednesday afternoon about his team’s big game Thursday night:

Notre Dame leads the all-time series against UofL with a 14-4 record. The last time the two programs faced each other, the Fighting Irish won 84-73 in the 2017 ACC Tournament semifinal round.
