UofL BASKETBALL | No. 1 Cardinals Preparing for No. 16 Boise St.

The Louisville women’s basketball is in its final stages of preparation for its Friday afternoon NCAA Tournament opener.

The No. 1 Cards (32-2) face No. 16 Boise St. (23-9) inside the KFC Yum! Center at 12 p.m. ET.

Only one No. 16 seed has ever beaten a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, when Harvard beat Stanford in 1998.

Louisville head coach Jeff Walz spoke on Thursday about what it takes for teams to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament:
