UofL BASKETBALL | Louisville advances to the Elite Eight

The Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team looked the part as a No. 1 seed against Stanford Friday night in Rupp Arena. Louisville had the lead at the end of the first quarter, 25-19, and from that point on they didn’t look back as they continued to stretch the lead.

Asia Durr took over in the second half, scoring 15 of her 24 points to lead the Cards in a 86-59 win over the Stanford. Durr shot 7-14 from the field, 7-7 from the free-throw line with 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Myisha Hines-Allen had 17 points and Sam Fuehring pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with 9 points.

The Louisville Cardinals advance to the Elite Eight to take on Oregon St. at noon on Sunday.
