UofL BASKETBALL | Kenny Johnson and Jordan Fair placed on administrative leave

10/06/2017 05:50 PM

According to a press release from the University of Louisville, associate head men’s basketball coach Kenny Johnson and assistant coach Jordan Fair have been placed on paid administrative leave, effective immediately.

“We are in the process of executing our due diligence as it relates to an ongoing investigation and feel that this an appropriate step at this time,” said UofL Acting Director of Athletics Vince Tyra. “Our university will continue to fully cooperate with federal authorities in their investigation.”

This is the result of an FBI investigation into bribery and wire fraud taking place within college basketball recruiting.

The university also announced today that current basketball staffers Michael Bowden, Logan Baumann, and RJ Evans will serve in temporary coaching roles for the immediate future.

Jeff Greer from the Courier-Journal joined Andrew Chernoff to discuss their relationship with the team, and how long to expect them in those positions.
