UofL BASKETBALL | Jeff Walz talks about the evolution of his young team

02/10/2016 06:09 PM

After a tumultuous start to the 2015-2016 season, the University of Louisville Women’s Basketball team is now piecing together a very successful season. After losing four of their first five games, the Cards are now a confident 18-6, 10-1 in the ACC, and only recently saw their 15 game win streak snapped at the hands of 3rd ranked Notre Dame.

The drastic turnaround on a team comprised primarily of underclassmen has sparked a resurgence of hope in the Louisville fan base. The women are now entrusted with Louisville fans’ full post season hopes in the midst of the allegations surrounding the Men’s program.

Cn|2 Sports was granted an exclusive interview with coach Walz, and he spoke with us about the camaraderie between the men’s and women’s programs, the growth of his young team, and the upcoming matchup at Pittsburgh.
