The No. 9 Louisville women’s basketball team pulled off an upset over the weekend, as the Cards beat No. 5 Ohio St. in Columbus on Sunday, winning 95-90 in overtime.

As impressive as the win was, there was also an incredible performance by UofL guard Asia Durr. The ACC preseason player of the year posted a game-high 47 points, which also broke Louisville’s program record for most points in a single game. The performance helped her be named the ACC’s Player of the Week.

Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff spoke with head coach Jeff Walz on Monday about the victory. He started by asking him more about the impressive individual performance by Durr.

On Monday, the new AP Top 25 poll came out and the Cards took over the No. 5 spot, while Ohio St. dropped to No. 9.
