UofL BASKETBALL | Durr, Walz Receive Major ACC Honors

Louisville women’s basketball guard Asia Durr was named the ACC Player of the Year on Wednesday.

Durr leads the Cards in scoring with 19.5 points per game, which ranks third in the ACC. She has had an impressive season from behind-the-arc as well, going 98-of-220 (44.5%) from three-point range.

Also, receiving recognition by the league office was head coach Jeff Walz, who was named ACC Coach of the Year.

Walz has led UofL to a 29-2 overall record this season.

The Cardinals open the ACC Tournament on Friday at 2 p.m. ET against the winner of No. 8 Syracuse and No. 9 Virginia Tech.
