UofL BASKETBALL | Don't count us out

Louisville’s 72-58 win over Syracuse Wednesday night, did more than break a two game losing streak. It did more than improve the Cards to 20-6, 9-4 in the ACC, which has them just a game behind first place North Carolina.

The primary thing the victory did, was bolster the confidence of the UofL players and coaches who might have been feeling a bit sorry for themselves following back-to-back losses at Duke and Notre Dame. However in the victory against Syracuse, the Cards fought back from an early 18-6 hole, and in fact, never trailed in the second half.

There were slam dunks, high fives, and good feelings in the Louisville locker room, and now, a renewed sense of finishing out the regular season strong.

Thanks to the self imposed, post season ban, number 18 Louisville has five games left in the season. Next up is a revenge match against Duke. The 20th ranked Devils come in flying high, with an identical record of 20-6, 9-4, after knocking off arch rival North Carolina 74-73. Saturday’s game tips off at noon, and can be seen on ESPN.
