UofL BASKETBALL | Crum Discusses Recent UofL Men's Basketball Scandal
10/02/2017 02:10 PM

Former UofL men’s basketball head coach Denny Crum held his 15th Annual Denny Crum Golf Tournament on Monday afternoon.
The event took place at the UofL Golf Club.
It raises money for the Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation, which “awards scholarships to individuals who have demonstrated leadership, community service, and academic achievement.”
While out there, Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff asked Crum about his thoughts on the recent news surrounding the UofL men’s basketball program’s link to a federal investigation into corruption and fraud within college basketball:
Crum also talked about what needs to happen going forward:
One thing Crum did tell Chernoff was that he had and continues to have no interest in coaching the program again.
“I’ve been retired 16 years,” said Crum. “I’m 80 years old. I’m not interested in another job.”
The Denny Crum Scholarship Foundation will host a live and silent auction reception and game watch on Thursday night at 6:30 ET at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. To register, visit UofLAlumni.org/DennyCrum .
