UofL BASKETBALL | Cards Ready to Begin ACC Tournament Play

The Louisville men’s basketball team is getting ready to play arguably its most important game of the year on Wednesday afternoon when it takes on Florida St. in the second round of the ACC Tournament.

Tip-off between the Cardinals (19-12, 9-9) and the Seminoles (20-10, 9-9) is set for 12 p.m. ET inside Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

It will be the third meeting between the two teams this season, as the Cards won 83-79 at then-No. 23 Florida on Jan. 10 before falling 80-76 to Florida St. inside the KFC Yum! Center on Feb. 3.

UofL Interim Head Coach Padgett was asked on Tuesday whether or not playing a team for a third time in one season is a plus or a challenge:

Of course, the meeting on Wednesday will be very important for the Cards as they are currently “on the bubble” when it comes to many experts’ projections for the NCAA Tournament. Padgett was asked on Tuesday how much his team and he pay attention to those projections:

Spectrum News’ Lyndsey Gough is in Brooklyn, N.Y. for the ACC Tournament and will provide a full recap of Wednesday’s game on Wednesday’s edition of Sports Night at 6:30 p.m. ET.
