UofL BASKETBALL | Cards preparing for "statistically scary" Pittsburgh team

01/13/2016 08:30 PM

One of the first things Louisville Basketball coach Rick Pitino said in his Wednesday press conference is that the Pittsburgh team his Cards face on Thursday is one of the best they he has ever seen. He goes on to call them statistically scary.

The Cards need a bounce back win after a disappointing loss to Clemson last weekend, but grabbing that redemptive win is easier said than done. This Thursday at the Yum! Center, no. 21 U of L will tip off against no. 20 Pitt in attempt to grab their first win over a top 25 team this season. The Panthers come to Louisville with just one loss to their record, and having won 10 straight.

Coach Pitino has been saying for weeks that the heart of Louisville’s conference schedule will be a true struggle, and Pitt will be the toughest ACC challenge to date. Tip off in Louisville is scheduled for 9:00 pm.
