12/05/2015 03:40 PM
Damion Lee had 24 points, Trey Lewis added 16, while Quentin Snider had 12 points and 8 assists, as Louisville just destroyed the Grand Canyon Antelopes, 111-63. Donovan Mitchell and Chinanu Onuaku also finished in double figures with 13 and 10 points respectively.
The game was pretty much over midway through the 1st half when the Cards went on a 26-3 run to blow the game open. It was a 31 point difference at the half (61-30), and the lead stretched to more than 50, before winding up as a 48 point difference.
Coming off Wednesday’s close 71-67 loss at a Michigan State team expected to jump to number one when the new polls come out, the Cards felt like they had something to prove today, and prove it they did. After the game Rick Pitino said for the most part he could find little fault with his team. The victory improves Louisville to 6-1, and also drops the Antelopes to a 6-1 mark.
The Cards will have a week to rest and heal. Louisville’s next game is Saturday December 12th when the Cards host Eastern Michigan in a 2pm tip off.
