UofL BASKETBALL | Cards get their point guard with commitment from Darius Perry

08/16/2016 05:23 PM

The University of Louisville has landed a point guard for the class of 2017 in Darius Perry. He stands 6-foot-2, weighs 180 pounds and hails from Marietta, GA. He is the second commitment to the Rick Pitino’s 2017 class behind 6’11 center Malik Williams. Both players are in the top-50 of ESPN’s rankings of the 2017 class.

Perry is listed as a 4-star prospect by ESPN and will likely alleviate the point guard load placed on Quentin Snider after Tony Hicks graduates. Jody Demling is a publisher for the Scout recruiting network, which is the outlet that broke the news of Perry’s commitment. We spoke with him a couple weeks ago about Perry’s game, and you can WATCH THAT PORTION OF THE INTERVIEW HERE.
