The University of Louisville held the first of its two Red/White Basketball scrimmages Saturday in the YUM Center. The Cardinals were split into two teams for the first half, and then the rosters were re-shuffled, the scoreboard reset and two different squads played in the second half.

For those of you scoring at home, the Red won the first game (half) 49-36, while the Red won the second game (half) 45-43. Jaylen Johnson led all scorers in the first half with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Donovan Mitchell’s 13 points led everyone in the second half.

While fans were focused on the scrimmage, there were also murmurs about the allegations that came out yesterday, about former UofL Director of Basketball operations Andre McGee being accused of paying an escort service to provide sex for UofL recruits.

Media members were told that Coach Pitino would not specifically discuss the subject today, however in his post game press conference, Pitino and Junior Mangok Mathiang did talk about dealing with outside distractions.
