UofL BASKETBALL | Cards Fall in ACC Tournament to No. 1 Virginia

03/08/2018 01:54 PM

The Louisville men’s basketball team was not able to get revenge on No. 1 Virginia Thursday afternoon.

Less than a week after the Cavaliers hit a buzzer-beater three to beat the Cards inside the KFC Yum! Center, No. 1-seeded UVA (29-2, 17-1) beat No. 9-seeded UofL (20-13, 9-9) in the ACC Tournament quarterfinal round. The final score was 75 to 58.

Spectrum News’ Lyndsey Gough was at the game and has post-game reaction from the Cardinals:

UVA advances to the tournament semifinals, where it will face No. 4-seeded Clemson on Friday.

Meanwhile, Louisville will have to wait until Sunday to learn its NCAA Tournament fate.
