The Louisville men’s basketball team has played two intra-squad scrimmages already this season, but have yet to take on players from another team. That changes tomorrow night when U of L hosts Kentucky Wesleyan in an exhibition game at 7:00 p.m. ET at the KFC Yum! Center.

Today, the team hosted its annual media day, and it started with acting head coach David Padgett giving an update on the team and saying how excited his players are for a new opponent.

The players echoed the sentiment that Kentucky Wesleyan will be a nice reprieve from the grind of team practices, and added what they hoped to learn from the exhibition.

The players also fielded a number of questions about approaching this season with a mostly new coaching staff, and how the events of the past couple weeks have impacted the team. The athletes said that basketball has been vital for them moving on, and that the want to have a great season for the U of L fan base.

Media Day is also a time to have some fun, and learn more about the players off the court.
