UofL BASKETBALL | Cards Earn No. 1 Seed in Lexington Regional

03/12/2018 08:30 PM

The “season of firsts” continues for the Louisville women’s basketball program.

Not only did the Cards win their first-ever ACC regular season championship and their first-ever ACC Tournament championship this season, they also earned their first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament.

The No. 1 Cards (32-2) learned on Monday night they will host No. 16 Boise St. (23-9) on Friday at 12 p.m. ET inside the KFC Yum! Center.

The winner of that game will face either No. 8 Marquette (23-6) or No. 9 Dayton (23-9) in the second round.

Should the Cards get to the Sweet 16, they would play in Lexington’s Rupp Arena for the third round and quarterfinals, should they advance.
