UofL BASKETBALL | Cards continued injury troubles. Trey Lewis out versus Wake Forest

01/02/2016 04:55 PM

In his most recent blog post, Rick Pitino says Trey Lewis will not play Sunday evening when the Cardinals Basketball team takes on Wake Forest to begin ACC play.

Pitino wirtes:

“Trey Lewis is out with a bad ankle sprain suffered in practice on Friday. We are behind the eight ball with no backup point. We will see with practice what to do. Levitch is option one. Ryan off red shirt option two. There is no foreseeable third option. Get ready. We need you !!!”

This is the latest of what is becoming a season of injury prone Louisville players. Anas Mahmoud suffered a similar ankle sprain in practice a few weeks ago, he missed multiple games. Mangok Mathiang is still handcuffed to the bench with a broken bone in his foot, and Deng Adel missed eight games with a sprained knee.
