The Louisville men’s basketball team picked up arguably its most important win of the year on Wednesday afternoon.

The No. 9-seeded Cards (20-12, 9-9) beat No. 8-seeded Florida St. (20-11, 9-9) in the ACC Tournament second round by the final score of 82 to 74. It was Louisville’s first-ever win in the ACC Tournament.

UofL guard Quentin Snider led the way with a game-high 19 points.

The Cards had a solid night from the field, shooting 32-of-63 (51%) overall, including 10-of-16 (63%) from behind-the-arc.

With the win, the Cardinals advance to the quarterfinal round of the tournament, where they will face No. 1-seeded Virginia at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday. The Cavaliers beat Louisville on a three-point buzzer-beater on March 1 inside the KFC Yum! Center.
