UofL BASKETBALL | Cardinal women mentally and physically ready for NCAA tournament

03/16/2016 11:30 AM

There are fewer than three weeks until a new NCAA Champion team is crowned in women’s basketball, and for the University of Louisville there is a chance for renewed drama in the big dance.

The Cards are a three seed in the Dallas region where Baylor is the one seed. If both teams advance to the Elite Eight, the women have a chance to relive the one of the biggest upsets in basketball, when Louisville was a five seed and stunned one seeded Baylor to advance to the 2013 Championship game.

The majority of the current Cards were not even on the Louisville roster in 2013, but the potential of a deep run in the NCAA tournament has the team very excited.
