UofL BASEBALL | Nothing like some Home Cooking to get things right

04/27/2016 09:50 PM

Be it ever so humble, there’s no place at home for the Louisville Cardinals. Just 7-8 on the road, the sixth ranked Cards improved their record at Jim Patterson Stadium to 25-1, by shutting out Florida International 7-0. Kade McClure improved his record to 8-0 by pitching seven shut out innings of four hit ball.

Corey Ray went 2-for-4, scoring on a wild pitch, while Colin Lyman and Devin Mann both drove in a pair of runs. The victory improves Louisville’s record to 32-9, while FIU drops to 20-23. The Cards next prepare for a three game home series starting Friday at 6pm against St. John’s.
