Former Louisville baseball star Brendan McKay will be back in Louisville this Saturday.

The fourth overall pick in this year’s MLB Draft will be presented with his 2017 Golden Spikes Award trophy.

McKay was named the winner of the award back in June. The award recognizes the nation’s top amateur baseball player.

He will be honored during halftime of the UofL men’s basketball game against Indiana, according to UofL Baseball’s official Twitter account. That game tips off at 2 p.m. ET inside the KFC Yum! Center.

During the 2017 season at UofL, McKay had a .341 batting average with 18 home runs and 57 RBI. On the mound, he was 11-3 with a 2.56 ERA and 146 strikeouts.
