UofL BASEBALL | McKay Named ACC Pitcher of Week

04/17/2017 05:43 PM

UofL baseball pitcher Brendan McKay was recognized on Monday as the ACC Pitcher of the Week.

It’s the third time this season that the junior has been given the honor.

McKay got the start against Georgia Tech on Thursday night and was nearly flawless on the mound. He finished the game with eight strikeouts and held the Yellow Jackets on only one hit in eight innings of action, as the Cards cruised to a 3-0 win.

McKay was credited with the victory, giving him a 5-2 record on the mound this season.

The #2 Louisville Cardinals are back in action on Tuesday night when they face #10 Kentucky. First pitch from Lexington’s Cliff Hagan Stadium is scheduled for approximately seven eastern.
