UofL BASEBALL | Initial reactions to NCAA Seeding

05/29/2017 03:43 PM

The University of Louisville baseball team earned a national seed in the NCAA tournament for the third year in a row today. The Cards will host Radford, Xavier, and Oklahoma this weekend for a chance to advance to the NCAA Super Regional.

Louisville is the seventh overall seed, which is a much higher seed than many expected. The Cards spent most of the season ranked second in the nation, but suffered four losses in their last five games.

At the announcement today, the players and coach reacted to the seeding, and talked about refocusing after those four losses.

Howie Lindsey from CardinalSports.com and 790 WKRD joined the show after the announcement. He added perspective to the potential meetup between U of L and UK in the super-regional.
