UofL Baseball Heading to Super Regionals

The UofL baseball team is heading to the Super Regionals for the third time in school history and first since 2009 after defeating Oklahoma State 12-3. It’s also the first time in school history that the team has advanced without losing a game in double elimination. The Cards knocked off Bowling Green 8-3 on Friday and defeated Miami 6-4 on Saturday. On Sunday, Louisville chased Cowboys starter Kenton Bevacqua out of the game after a three-run third inning. In the next inning against reliever Brendan McCurry, Adam Engel smacked a ball down the right-field line that drove in two runs. The Cards added six runs in the top of the eighth to seal the win. Left fielder CoCo Johnson went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI’s and was namd the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
