Louisville baseball head coach Dan McDonnell is staying at UofL.

McDonnell discussed his future on Thursday at a press conference after reports surfaced over the last week that Mississippi St. was reaching out to McDonnell to try and make him its head baseball coach.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do still here (Louisville),” said McDonnell.

Louisville Director of Athletics Vince Tyra talked on Thursday about what it will take to guarantee that UofL baseball head coach Dan McDonnell remains at UofL long term:

McDonnell led the Cards to a 45-19 overall record this past season, which ended in the Lubbock Regional of the NCAA Baseball Championship.
