UofL BASEBALL | Cards remember the sting of last seasons Super Regional loss

06/08/2016 08:30 PM

The University of Louisville Baseball team starts is playing in their fourth straight NCAA Super Regional this weekend. Their first game against UC-Santa Barbara is Saturday at noon eastern.

The Cards go into this weekend’s series with a sour taste in their mouth that is almost a year old. It’s a new season and it’s been one whole year since Louisville lost to Cal-State Fullerton in the 2015 Super Regionals, but the sting of losing is still very memorable. Fullerton hit a home run in the 11th inning which every Louisville fan swears was a foul ball, but it was called fair and it ended U of L’s season. That loss is continuing to fuel the Cards heading into the weekend.
