UofL BASEBALL | Cards prepare for final ACC series at Wake Forest

05/18/2016 08:30 PM

The University of Louisville baseball team has won six straight games heading into their final regular season series at Wake Forest. The Cards will play a three game series with the Demon Deacons starting Thursday night, and finishing on Saturday.

The Deacons are sub-.500 in the ACC right now, only 13-14 in conference play. They are 32-20 overall, and have won 4 of their last five games. Louisville is playing some of their best baseball of the year, but only recently won their first road series of the season over North Carolina. U of L is currently one of the top five teams in the country and have essentially locked hosting duties for the regional and super-regional tournaments once the ACC tournament wraps next weekend.

Most recently, a sixth inning rally propelled U of L to a 9-2 win over Indiana. Sophomore pitcher Kade McClure earned his 11th win of the season. We asked Jason Anderson from ESPN Louisville to stop by the studio and digest the stellar baseball of U of L.
