UofL BASEBALL | Cards Less Than a Month Away from 2018 Regular Season

The Louisville baseball team is less than a month away from beginning its 2018 regular season.

The Cards’ season opener is in Charleston, S.C. on Feb. 16 at 12 p.m. ET against Richmond.

Earlier this week, D1Baseball ranked UofL 15th in the D1Baseball Preseason Top 25. Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff caught up with head coach Dan McDonnell on Wednesday to get his thoughts on the ranking:

Before the season starts though for the Cards, they are hosting a couple of big events.

On Saturday, Jan. 20 and Sunday, Jan. 21, the program is hosting its annual winter camps for kids in grades 1-12. The camp runs from 9 a.m. ET to 4 p.m. ET each day and costs $125/player per day, which also includes lunch.

To learn more about the camps, call (502)-852-5791.

Meanwhile, the Cards will host their annual “Louisville Baseball Leadoff Dinner” on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

This year’s event starts at 7 p.m. ET and will have UofL baseball alumni Adam Engel, Chicago White Sox outfielder, and Kyle McGrath, San Diego Padres pitcher, as the featured guests.
