UofL BASEBALL | Cards Hold Intrasquad Scrimmage in Front of MLB Scouts

10/06/2017 05:46 PM

The Louisville baseball team had another intrasquad scrimmage on Friday afternoon inside Jim Patterson Stadium, although this scrimmage was in front of MLB scouts.

Nearly 40 MLB scouts were in attendance to see each Cardinal player perform.

UofL head coach Dan McDonnell talked about the importance of Scout Day:

While out at the scrimmage, Spectrum News’ Andrew Chernoff also asked McDonnell to share his thoughts on the news that came out of the NCAA. The DI Competition Oversight Committee approved increasing the number of seeded teams in the DI Baseball Championship, beginning this upcoming season.

The number of seeded teams will increase from eight to 16.

Also, McDonnell spoke about the current situation involving UofL Athletics as a whole. Earlier this week, Louisville announced Vince Tyra as the school’s acting athletic director.
